About this event
@
Join us for a free Youth Mental Health First Aid training and learn how to recognize signs of mental health challenges in young people, respond with confidence, and connect them with support. A caring adult can make a difference, especially when a young person feels alone or disconnected.
This training is ideal for those who live, work, or volunteer with youth and want to feel more confident supporting young people facing mental health challenges.
What you’ll learn:
• Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges
• How to respond in a crisis or non-crisis situation
• Ways to connect youth with support and resources
• Tools to reduce stigma and promote mental wellness
Open to parents, teachers, coaches, youth workers, and caring adults. No experience needed—just a willingness to learn.
Course taught by Certified Mental Health First Aid instructors: Arturo Castro and Nettie Blowers
Includes Grab 'n Go style breakfast, lunch, and comprehensive course materials
