Cooking Class: Thanksgiving Sides with Mushrooms

Learn how to make delicious side dishes using mushrooms that are perfect forThanksgiving or anytime. All recipes will be made using locally grown mushrooms from All Caps Farm. In this hands-on cooking class, Chef Cat Mara will teach participants several recipes that you can recreate at home. Participants will work with the Chef instructor in our professional kitchen to prepare the recipes and everyone will sit down at a communal table and enjoy the meal together.

Chef Catherine ("Cat") Mara is a local chef, who collaborates on community culinary projects with the sustainable All Caps Farm. She caters private events and teaches local classes in Gaithersburg, MD.

All Caps sells their mushrooms on Thursdays at the Casey Community Center Farmers Market and on Saturdays at the Main Street Farmer’s Market in the Kentlands.

This is an in-person hands-on class. Participants will work with the chef instructor in our kitchen to prepare the recipes listed in the class description. Everyone will then enjoy these recipes together.
