FAMILY Series: Tuba Christmas

About this event

Merry Tubachristmas® will celebrate its 52nd year. Created by Harvey Phillips, Merry Tubachristmas® 2026 concerts will be presented in over 300 cities throughout the United States and in several foreign countries. Tubachristmas® is an annual event created to honor Dr. Harvey G. Phillips’ teacher, mentor, friend, and associate, the late great tubist William J. Bell. Every Tubachristmas® performance features traditional Christmas carols especially arranged by American composer Alec Wilder. Through Wilder, Tubachristmas® concerts pay tribute to composers who have embraced these noble instruments with solo and ensemble compositions. It’s no wonder why the warm toned, smooth organ sounds of the tuba-euphonium choir has won the ears and hearts of every audience, making a Tubachristmas® concert an established Christmas tradition in cities throughout the world Learn more about Tubachristmas® at their official website. This show is part of the Weinberg Center’s Community Events, celebrating local arts and culture. The Weinberg Center, located in the heart of Downtown Frederick, MD, offers a historic backdrop for a meaningful community experience.
