About this event
Mushroom Foraging Workshop- Put on Your Boots and Grab a Basket!
Where: Seneca Creek State Park
Duration: Approximately 3–4 hours
Cost: $95.00 per person, includes lunch
All Caps, a mycelium project hub that includes a farm located in the DC DMV. The outing will be led by experienced house foragers and guests will learn how to forage responsibly, identify key species of mushrooms, and what to look for in the Mid-Atlantic region.
After the guided walk and collecting mushrooms, the group will gather at a set-up table for a hands-on identification session. This will include a deeper discussion of specimens collected or pre-foraged, best practices, ecological principles and safety considerations, and culinary applications with some on-site sampling of mushrooms prepared fresh.
Our hosts will prepare onsite a mushroom saute to sample, in addition to a light lunch.
Listed by ALL CAPS Farm (Wix Events), gathered by the Frederick events calendar.
