Registration is required through the following link: Activities Outdoors - Cold Weather Backpack Near Harpers Ferry The trail will start at Keys Gap, travel to David Lesser Shelter and end at the Blackburn Trail Center, ~12.3 miles total out-and-back plus 2.5 for Day hike without full pack.

• Elevation Gain: ~1,650–2,000 ft

• Estimated Time: 5–6 hours, per day.

• Difficulty: Moderate to hard (mostly due to rocky footing and sustained distance)

• Trail Type: Out-and-back

• Location: Straddles the Virginia–West Virginia border near Harpers Ferry
