- ➤ The Deleplaine Foundation granted funds to support the Weinberg Center’s arts programs and restore its historic Mighty Wurlitzer organ, with money also backing live shows and community outreach. - ➤ Linganore High School finished on top in the first round of FCPS academic tournament matches on Friday — the school's strong performance sets a positive tone for upcoming rounds. Frederick News-Post

- ➤ Maryland Lottery and Gaming reported that December sports wagering brought in $15,736,889, with $11,849,429 helping fund Blueprint for Maryland’s Future + $3,887,460 for the general fund.
