Good morning, Frederick.

United Way of Frederick County announced that 36 local nonprofits will join its upcoming Unity Campaign (a fundraising effort) to support community programs.

The fundraiser will soon help these organizations secure additional resources.

The Catoctin Furnace Historical Society is asking local property owners to support a years-long plan to enlarge the historic district by nearly 7,900 acres.

The effort will aim to preserve more heritage for the community.

A heavy snowstorm has led districts in Maryland and Virginia to close or delay classes today, with Frederick County Public Schools opting for a two-hour delay + several other districts switching to remote learning for safety as crews clear roads.
