- ➤ Family Connects Frederick County is launching training in postpartum maternal mental health as part of Frederick Health’s at-home nurse visiting program for newborns and families—community members who participate will receive stipends while learning to support new mothers. Frederick News-Post
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Frederick man (36) Kamren Trey Morgan was arrested on Tuesday, March 11 after a road rage incident near Ballenger Creek Pike and English Muffin Way when he allegedly flashed a loaded handgun at another driver; he now faces charges including first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and multiple handgun violations while being held without bond. - ➤ Frederick County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious man who entered Crestwood Middle School at 1:37 p.m. on Thursday and left the building about a minute later as students were outside for physical education — authorities are reviewing the scene and asking anyone with information to come forward. - ➤ Frederick Police said three 18-year-old suspects used rental trucks to steal high-dollar appliances from homes under construction between September and October 2024 — they have been charged with theft and conspiracy. Daily Voice

- ➤ Frederick Economic Development Department and the Maryland Department of Labor are hosting a job and resource fair in Frederick on March 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Frederick Seventh-day Adventist Church to help displaced federal workers find new opportunities—more than 50 employers will be present, and free onsite parking, refreshments, and a resume workshop are available.
