GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Motorists on Route 77 will see the Rocky Ridge Road bridge reopen today ahead of schedule after a $7.1 million replacement that closed it last fall. The Maryland DOT (primary overseer) advises drivers to obey posted speed limits in the work zone.  WFMD

HEALTH NEWS

  • Federal regulators expanded the recall of frozen foods by Ajinomoto Foods North America on Monday, Mar. 23 due to glass contamination from carrots in products by brands like Trader Joe's and Kroger. Consumers in Frederick are urged to check freezers and discard any affected items.  Daily Voice
