Hood College announced on Monday that it appointed its first dean for the Ruth Whitaker Holmes School of Behavioral and Health Sciences.

At a hearing Tuesday night at Winchester Hall, the Frederick County Council heard from about 80 residents on a bill that would set rules for data centers and their impacts in our community.

SHA is set to begin road improvement projects in Frederick, Carroll, and Howard counties soon.

In Frederick County, crews will start work on Md Rt 550 between Md Rt 77 and Kelbaugh Road on March 31 with completion expected by early May, while projects in Carroll and Howard counties kick off on March 24, mid-April, and early April with finishes planned in May or June, weather permitting.
