- ➤ Holla Spirits launched its new "Crush" canned cocktails in Maryland as of Mar. 31, offering orange and watermelon flavors for sale at bars, restaurants, and retailers—across several mid-Atlantic states. Founders Patrick Shorb and Matt Glasser started the company in 2016 and expanded their lineup after changes in liquor laws eased retail sales of ready-to-drink cocktails—boosting consumer convenience. - ➤ Gary Morton, a retired deputy with 35 years of service, officially filed his candidacy to run for Frederick County sheriff and will challenge incumbent Sheriff Chuck Jenkins in the GOP primary for the 2026 election.
