- ➤ The Community Foundation of Frederick County announced its FY25 Rolling Grant application is open and will review applications on a rolling basis until funds are fully allocated—details on eligibility are available from the foundation. Frederick News-Post
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Frederick County Grand Jury returned 11 indictments on Friday—one charges Frederick man Kamren Trey Morgan, 36, who was arrested on March 11th after a road rage incident at Ballenger Creek Pike and English Muffin Way in which he reportedly brandished a firearm and a loaded handgun was found in his car— as the cases now move to Circuit Court for trial scheduling. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Frederick County Division of Aging and Independence is partnering with ClancyWorks Dance Company to offer free Creative Movement Workshops starting April 9 and running every Wednesday until June 11 that include breathing, singing and dancing exercises—classes will be held at Emmitsburg 50+ Community Center from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at Middletown 50+ Community Center from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. - ➤ Frederick City Council members questioned Mayor Michael O’Connor’s fiscal year 2026 budget on Thursday when they raised issues regarding employee raises and a larger reserve fund during its first public presentation—council members may push for changes as they assess the plan’s impact on city finances.
