CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The trial of Gregory Lyte, 39, who is charged with attempted 2nd-degree murder and two firearms offenses after a February 2019 shooting outside Taco Daddy on North Market Street that injured a man, will resume today (9:00 a.m.) at Frederick County Circuit Court. WFMD
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Frederick County Council President Brad Young said a new bill on data center regulations will be voted on May 6th to boost local tax revenue and create more jobs by setting rules for data centers built in industrial areas. He noted that while one data center is under construction at the former Eastalco site in Adamstown, only up to five may be built—unlike in Northern Virginia where many already exist. WFMD
