GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Federal leaders allocated $4 million to upgrade local youth and senior centers; $1M will redevelop Taney Avenue Senior Center to add housing and services while $3M will modernize Frederick Youth Center with enhanced security and new equipment. U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen and Congresswoman April McClain Delaney announced the funds. WFMD
- ➤ The city approved a new agreement — the plan will transfer its longtime museum building to the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. The museum will later purchase the historic building in partnership with state officials. Frederick News-Post
