- ➤ Firefighters in Frederick honored three war veteran firefighters who served in World War II and the Korean War during a tribute last night. - ➤ On Monday afternoon, firefighters responded to a heavy blaze at a detached garage on the 3600 block of Green Valley Road in Green Valley that injured one person with minor burns who was treated at a hospital, and they had the bulk of the fire under control by about 4:15 p.m. WFMD

- ➤ A Bethesda man was arrested after kidnapping a woman in Montgomery County; officers said 31‑year‑old Robert Deeter abducted her at gunpoint near the 10300 block of Old Georgetown Road at about 2:30 p.m. on Friday, and she escaped near Rockledge Drive and I-270—he now faces charges including kidnapping, first‑degree assault, and handgun violations while being held without bond.
