GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Drivers in Frederick County face overnight lane closures on Route 15 starting Sunday night for guardrail installation between the Potomac River bridge and Mountville Road in Point of Rocks. The project will last about one week with work performed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting. WFMD
- ➤ Maryland will receive over $823,000 from FEMA to elevate two structures above the floodplain & prevent flood damage. The funding is part of a $6.7 million package announced for communities in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia to reduce long-term flood risks. WFMD

FAC Happy Birthday Video
In celebration of the Frederick Arts Council's 50th anniversary, we are documenting testimonies from those whose lives are made better by the arts and the work of the Frederick Arts Council, and we invite you to join us at the YMCA Ausherman Arts Center next Thursday, May 14th at noon to be featured on film sharing your powerful experience of the impact of the arts or a simple "Happy Birthday" to the FAC. This reel will be featured during the FAC's 50th Anniversary Gala on November 7th, with event details available at FrederickArtsCouncil.org.
