ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On May 1, just before 12:15 p.m., fire and rescue teams responded to Frederick Municipal Airport when a plane with a malfunctioning landing gear landed safely despite its front gear collapsing—both occupants were unharmed and no fuel spilled. WFMD
- ➤ A plane made an emergency landing at Frederick Municipal Airport on May 1 when its front landing gear collapsed during landing—firefighters confirmed that the two people on board were unharmed and there was no fuel leak. DC News Now
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On or about May 9, the City of Frederick will request HUD to release Community Development Block Grant funds for repairs at the George L. Shields Food Bank at 14 East All Saints Street — the project includes parking lot grading, roof replacement, ramp installation and water damage repairs. The work is expected to cost about $72,000.
