- ➤ On May 2 at about 8:45 p.m., a group of masked demonstrators in downtown Frederick swung umbrellas at cars and threw objects at officers near Fourth and North Market Street—resulting in the arrest of four individuals for assault, riot, and disorderly conduct. Daily Voice

- ➤ The union representing full-time faculty at Frederick Community College reached a tentative agreement with school leaders that ended nearly two years of contract talks. Frederick News-Post

- ➤ Lieutenant Colonel William 'Vic' DeLauter retired on May 1st after 40 years with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and oversaw key improvements at the detention center — including a work release program and a modern medical wing. WFMD
