- ➤ Maryland State Police are searching for four suspects after a 25-year-old man said he was attacked near a convenience store on Woodsboro Pike on May 10—three suspects wore black hooded sweatshirts and one wore gray as they reportedly made hateful remarks about his sexual orientation. - ➤ A man was shot by a Frederick County sheriff’s deputy around 6:44 p.m. on May 12 on North Market Street near Old Towne Tavern after he refused to drop his knife during a mental health crisis — he is now recovering in stable condition at an area trauma center. Daily Voice
