ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ United Way data shows that 29 percent of Maryland working households struggle to pay for basics and many are classified as ALICE households because their jobs do not pay enough. In Frederick County, six percent of residents live below the poverty line and 27 percent face these challenges, with single mothers being hit the hardest since 76 percent cannot cover basic living costs.
