- ➤ A Thurmont man, John Cintron, 34, was charged on Monday after police found explosive devices on Locust Drive and searched his home—he faces three counts of manufacturing or possessing a destructive device and five counts of reckless endangerment and is held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center without bond. - ➤ Some Frederick City Council members want to cut about $3M from the fiscal 2026 budget — a move meant to offset a recent tax rate drop — while the mayor disagrees with the proposed cut. Frederick News-Post
- ➤ The Frederick City Council will consider a plan to use almost half of an estimated $1 million in rental license revenue (unused to date) to fund a home repair program and emergency rental assistance. Frederick News-Post
