- ➤ Maryland may feel the impact of federal job cuts as Comptroller Brooke Lierman warned at a town hall in Germantown—she noted that the state's long-standing link with federal employment is weakening. Private sector growth is rising to fill the gap and help maintain jobs and revenue, she added. WFMD
