- ➤ Maryland State Police responded shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday on Route 97 and Humbert Schoolhouse Road in Carroll County when a GMC Canyon crossed the centerline and hit a Ford van—killing the van driver while 36-year-old Christopher Wolfe was taken to hospital for treatment. WFMD

- ➤ Winston Products recalled about 3.6 million HydroTech expandable garden hoses after nearly 30 people were injured when the hoses burst; the burst-proof hoses, sold in lengths from January 2021 through April 2025 and made on or before Aug. 31, 2024, are being pulled from stores and buyers are urged to stop using them immediately.
