CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Logan Hakeem Young, 41, was sentenced to 25 years in prison— with all but 12 years suspended— after pleading guilty to first-degree assault for strangling, punching and threatening his partner during a domestic attack on Aug. 24 at Eagle Rock Lane in Frederick, where police found signs of abuse and the victim sought help. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Frederick County Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Dyson was honored when she received the Cookerly Exceptional School Superintendent Award from the National Center for Children and Families on August 13th. She said the honor affirms her commitment to support every student in the school system. WFMD
