- ➤ Phillips Saylor Wisor of Stripmall Ballads will headline Frederick’s Sky Stage on August 23rd — he will perform on guitar and banjo to offer a mix of grit, warmth and storytelling. Frederick News-Post
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Frederick County Public Schools plans to update its Student Code of Conduct to track how long students spend away from class (including bathroom breaks). The new rule will help school staff monitor student activity and ensure that class time is used for learning. Frederick News-Post

- ➤ Frederick County Council is holding a public hearing Tuesday, August 26 at 7 p.m. at Winchester Hall — 12 East Church Street — to discuss an amended bill that would create a Critical Digital Infrastructure Overlay Zone directing electric substations and digital facilities to designated industrial lands.
