- ➤ On Aug. 20th, WalletHub released a study that compared hair care costs across 50 states—Maryland residents spent 1.22% of their income on hair care and ranked 25th in the nation. Daily Voice
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Carroll County Sheriff Jim Dewees said he opposes the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project—a planned 500‐kilovolt power line through Carroll, Frederick and northern Baltimore counties—and is working with others in court to stop it; he vowed to enforce the law and keep peace in Carroll County while property owners protect their rights. REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Owners of the Golden Mile shopping center have revised plans and will include only about half as many homes as originally planned—altering the expected growth along Golden Mile. The updated redevelopment will impact local real estate and guide future construction decisions. Frederick News-Post
