ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 36-year-old pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle Sunday night near the intersection of Liberty and Wormans Mill roads in Frederick. Frederick News-Post
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Juwaun Terry Stewart, 18, was sentenced to life plus 20 years in Frederick County Circuit Court on Monday for the first-degree murder and rape of Tammy Sue Coates—he is required to register as a sex offender for life. WFMD
- ➤ On Saturday, September 6 at about 12:35 a.m., Frederick Police located Jamarie Ahkile Parker on North Market Street after a witness reported a dropped handgun—Parker resisted arrest and officers recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, suspected crack cocaine, and prescription pills from his satchel before taking him into detention without bond.
