GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Frederick County’s Division of Housing will host two open house meetings on Wednesday, September 24 and Thursday, September 25 at the Bernard Brown Community Center and Brunswick City Park Building to gather feedback on its Housing Study and Strategic Plan. Both meetings run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and feature interactive stations and housing officials from TPMA — light refreshments will be provided. Frederick County
- ➤ Thurmont’s Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday to reserve all funds from mass tort settlements for PFAS treatment — a move designed to remediate forever chemicals in the area. Frederick News-Post

- ➤ Frederick’s Planning Commission today recommends changes to the city's mixed-use development guidelines. The proposed changes — which will shape future construction projects — aim to update planning rules for new developments. Frederick News-Post
- ➤ Frederick County and the EmPOWER program will host a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration on September 25 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Master Chef Restaurant at 1315 West Patrick Street in Frederick.
