Big Brothers & Big Sisters of the National Capital Area received a $5.6 million grant from Arnold Ventures to mentor 1,000 youth, including $2.4 million for Frederick and Prince George’s Counties over the next four years as the program expands its presence after reopening in Frederick in 2019.

City officials are considering a proposed filming project titled 'Boomtown — The Story of Downtown Frederick, Part 2' that will document downtown Frederick’s history and changes.
