- ➤ On Friday, October 10, Family Partnership will hold its 35th anniversary open house from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 8420 Gas House Pike—local residents are invited to learn about its services, meet staff and community leaders, and celebrate the milestone. Frederick County
- ➤ A local woman known as a 'mother’s mother' cared for Frederick children and earned the community’s admiration for her genuine compassion. Neighbors continue to honor her legacy as a model of kindness. Frederick News-Post
- ➤ Fatai Ariori died unexpectedly on Sept. 28 and his family is working to return his body to Cotonou—Benin for burial in line with his final wish. They are asking the community for support to help cover repatriation, funeral, and burial expenses for his wife and children. Daily Voice
- ➤ Frederick Youth Council members worked on mental wellness and community projects while brainstorming designs for a future youth center + volunteer work remains a top priority for local efforts. Frederick News-Post

- ➤ Old Frederick Road reopened today after the Division of Public Works completed repairs to the historic Loys Station Covered Bridge—damaged when an over-sized vehicle struck it and the south over-height warning portal. The repairs restore safe travel between New Cut Road and Md. Route 77. Frederick County
