ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A moonless night will let Frederick residents watch the Orionids meteor shower from late Tuesday, Oct. 21 through the pre‑dawn hours of Wednesday, Oct. 22 thanks to a new moon that leaves the sky dark. The shower is expected to produce about 20 meteors per hour with a chance for brighter fireballs—viewers should move away from city lights and let their eyes adjust. Daily Voice
