GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Amanda Radcliffe, Chief of the Office of Project Management in Frederick County Public Works, received the 2025 Meritorious Service Award from the County Engineers Association of Maryland at the CEAM Fall Conference in September + her leadership in managing key county projects and the Bridge Management Program was recognized for its impact. - ➤ The city of Frederick will offer rental assistance, flexible payments — and other services to federal workers affected by the government shutdown. Frederick News-Post
- ➤ The City of Frederick announced programs that will pay city employees funded by federal grants and help furloughed federal workers through emergency rental assistance and payment deferrals—residents can also attend a food and resource fair today at Trinity Recreation Center. - ➤ Frederick County Health Department is asking for the public's help to find a man who may have been exposed to rabies after he brought a sick raccoon to CARE Veterinary Center on Oct. 13 and left without giving his information, as the animal later tested positive for rabies; he is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s with curly brown hair and wearing a dark blue sweatshirt.
