CULTURE NEWS

  • A new self-guided audio tour called Ghost Trail, Haunted Frederick and Beyond offers an opportunity for visitors to explore local haunted sites and learn the area’s folklore (designed for spooky season) and will launch soon (providing an immersive experience for history fans).  Frederick News-Post

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Clocks will roll back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, when daylight saving time ends and residents gain an extra hour of sleep and an earlier sunrise. Residents are advised to check devices (like ovens and microwaves) before bed on Saturday, November 1 if they do not update automatically.  Daily Voice
  • The Frederick County Health Department will offer free sanitary surveys of select Adamstown wells—responding to concerns that the Quantum Frederick data center campus may affect water quality.  Frederick News-Post
