ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Bakery de France will open a 175,000-square-foot manufacturing center in Frederick’s Riverside Corporate Park, expected to create 125 permanent jobs by 2028. Governor Wes Moore announced the project — the Maryland Department of Commerce is arranging a $700,000 conditional loan while Frederick County offers local incentives. WFMD
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Frederick County and the Maryland Farm Bureau are seeking to dismiss PSEG’s plan to build a 67-mile power line—saying the project does not meet local needs. Frederick News-Post
- ➤ Starting November 12, one lane of Artie Kemp Road near Green Valley Road will be closed during daytime for work that moves a stream, fixes guardrails, and improves drainage and grading. Traffic will go through the area with a flagging operation, and the work is expected to last about six months—weather permitting. Frederick County
