GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Frederick officials announced a winter solstice boat installation on Carroll Creek that will affect traffic — drivers should plan alternate routes to avoid delays.  City of Frederick
  • Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater announced legislation today to raise the wage requirement for the New Jobs Tax Credit so that businesses must pay roughly $30 an hour instead of $10.86 and create quality, family-sustaining jobs. The bill will be discussed at a County Council workshop on November 25—aiming to boost regional economic growth.  Frederick County

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Frederick County Health Department will offer free, confidential HIV testing and educational information on Nov. 30. Residents can take advantage of this service to learn about HIV, according to a press release.  Frederick News-Post
