- ➤ Community Table in Frederick announced new serving hours to better serve local residents. The updated schedule (effective immediately) is posted at the venue for those planning their visits. City of Frederick
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Frederick County Public Schools reported a drop in enrollment for the first time in at least 10 years (excluding the 2020-2021 pandemic school year) during a review of student trends across county schools. Frederick News-Post
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Frederick hosts a Christmas Tree Recycling Program from Dec. 26 to Jan. 31. Residents can drop off natural trees free of decorations at sites including Harry Grove Stadium, Husky Park, Taskers Chance Parking Lot, Max Kehne Parking Lot and Willow Brook Park. WFMD
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The city is developing a program that pairs police with housing and human services staff (a therapist may join) to assist unhoused people downtown. Officials say the coordinated response plan will soon guide community support efforts. Frederick News-Post
