ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On April 30, firefighters from Frederick, Loudon and Jefferson Counties responded to a fire at 4 Concord Drive in Brunswick when smoke was seen in the attic—Animal Control rescued the dogs and no injuries were reported. WFMD
- ➤ Maryland mother Margo Cook, 39, who works at Boonsboro Elementary and cares for two children, was hit by a car while walking her dog in Greencastle, Pennsylvania on April 25 and suffered severe head and leg injuries that required emergency skull and leg surgeries, and she is now recovering at a shock trauma center plus her community is raising funds to cover her rising medical expenses. - ➤ At a Wednesday hearing, critics told the Frederick County Board of Education that the proposed fiscal year 2026 budget of 988 million dollars—a five-percent increase—is too heavy on administrators and out of step with low student performance rates.
